was so great free that I purchased it today. The pro version is only $15 for one year and $29 for three years and works with PC or Mac. You really can’t beat that price. For the free version, there are many positive features. For instance, you can capture up to 15 minutes of video. Most other sites offer only 5 minutes free. This is truly significant. The process was very easy and if you’ve used Screenr or Jing, then you already know how to use Screencast-O-Matic. Of course, Screenr wants $19 A MONTH for their lite version and Jing keeps causing problems on my computer. You can publish to MP4, AVI, FLV movie, and YouTube HD. The videos will have the brand showing but it’s not obtrusive. You can also record your screen and webcam.
Once I upgraded to Pro, I had some additional benefits. For instance, I could then change my recording to the system audio meaning that I could record the internal sound rather than having to talk into a microphone. This was a huge benefit. Other benefits included the ability to publish to Vimeo and Google Drive. There was no branding and I am able to password protect uploads. It has a desktop version for using offline for both Win and Mac, editing tools, scripts tool (for Close Captioning), Screen Shot Tool, Advanced Controls, Webcam only recording, and Draw & Zoom while recording.
And, to reiterate, all of this for $15 per year. I highly recommend Screencast-0-Matic! Excellent tool!
